The Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research is honored to announce a generous $30,000 donation from the National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) in support of the O&P Foundation’s mission to advance clinical care through research, education, and professional funding programs in the O&P profession.

NCOPE’s contribution reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the future of orthotic and prosthetic care by investing in high-impact initiatives that support O&P students, residents, and researchers. As a long-standing leader in O&P education and accreditation, NCOPE’s partnership reinforces the collective vision to promote excellence and innovation across the field.

“We are grateful for NCOPE’s investment in the future of O&P though the O&P Foundation,” said Fanny Schultea, MS, MSEd, CPO, FAAOP(D), Executive Director of the O&P Foundation. “This gift will help fuel the organization’s O&P scholarship, Microgrant, and Mentored Pilot grant programs.”

Half of the donation will be made in 2025, which will be matched by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC) as a part of the $1M O&P Foundation/ABC Match Challenge.

The O&P Foundation and NCOPE continue to work collaboratively to advance shared priorities, including educational access, workforce development, and evidence-based clinical practice. This generous support will directly impact the O&P Foundation’s strategic initiatives, including student scholarships, research grants, and the dissemination of data that enhances care delivery in the O&P community.
