Executive Director
Fanny Schultea is a board-certified ABC Orthotist/Prosthetist and Fellow with Distinction of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP), as well as a Fellow of the Thought Leadership & Innovation Foundation (TLI).
She currently serves as Executive Director of The Orthotics & Prosthetics Foundation for Education & Research, leading national efforts to advance evidence, workforce development, and quality of care across the O&P profession.
Before joining The O&P Foundation, Fanny was Assistant Professor at the Baylor College of Medicine O&P Masters Program in Houston, TX, and previously served as Director of AAOP’s O&PiQ clinical evidence resource. She continues to support the profession through the Limb Loss and Preservation Registry (LLPR) Scientific Committee, championing knowledge translation, research impact, and data-driven standards that improve patient outcomes.
A U.S. Army veteran, Fanny served in Baghdad, Iraq, as military police during the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). Her lived experience in service and mission-focused leadership fuels her dedication to improve the orthotics and prosthetics professional landscape.
Outside of her professional work, Fanny enjoys weight training and exploring the outdoors with her husband, Austin, and their son, Sterling – recharging through movement, adventure, and time with family.
