Adrina Savor
Background
I am originally from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin and am finishing up my last residency rotation through Baylor College of Medicine. I enjoy spending my free time hiking around in nature and traveling.
Why did you apply?
I applied for the Chester Haddan Scholarship because graduate school is an expensive initial investment and any additional funding is greatly appreciated to ease the financial burden.
How did you use the funding to meet your goals?
I used the award in assisting with my goal to receive a diverse education from various clinics around the country. This award was able to lessen the financial burden of school and still allow me to move around the country to learn from some incredible mentors.
How is the funding impacting your career trajectory?
I think it helped set my career up for success because I was able to use this to pay for a portion of my education which lowers the financial stress and allows me to focus on school and my education.
What did the funding mean to you personally?
This award meant a lot to me personally. I felt very privileged in being the recipient of such a sought after award and that my application and personality are what was valued in deciding who the recipient should be.
