Expression of Gratitude
“I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for receiving the ABC Orthotist and Prosthetist Scholarship. This honor has been far more than a source of financial assistance—it has served as a foundation upon which I’ve been able to grow into the clinician, researcher, and advocate I aspire to become.
Through the support of these funds, I’ve had the freedom to fully engage in my residency and research efforts without compromise. It has allowed me to immerse myself in learning and clinical practice, to take the extra time to connect more deeply with my patients, and to remain present and intentional in each moment of care. With fewer barriers in place, I’ve been able to focus on providing well-informed, evidence-based interventions that not only address physical needs, but also support the emotional and personal journeys of those I serve.
This scholarship has also created space for me to contribute meaningfully to the profession beyond the clinic. I’ve had the opportunity to share research, collaborate across borders, and begin engaging with global communities in need of O&P care. These experiences have expanded my understanding of how to deliver thoughtful, culturally sensitive, and sustainable solutions—and have further fueled my commitment to lifelong learning and service.
Thank you for believing in the future of this field and for uplifting students like myself who are committed to shaping it with integrity, compassion, and curiosity. I am incredibly proud to be part of this profession, and I carry this scholarship as both a responsibility and a reminder of the importance of giving back.”
