Announcing 2025-26 O&P Foundation Committee Chairs

We are proud to recognize the dedicated volunteer leaders who serve as Chairs of our standing committees. These individuals bring deep expertise, passion, and vision to guide The O&P Foundation’s mission across education, research, and professional awards. As chairs, they play a critical role in advancing our strategic goals, supporting program impact, and fostering innovation across the field of orthotic, prosthetic, and pedorthic rehabilitation. We are grateful for their leadership and commitment to shaping the future of OP&P through service and stewardship.

Research Committee

The Research Committee empowers investigators to push boundaries and shape the future of orthotic and prosthetic care. By cultivating opportunities for inquiry, mentorship, and collaboration, the committee helps researchers generate the evidence that drives innovation and improves lives. Their focus is on building capacity, strengthening skills, and ensuring that professionals have the tools and guidance they need to transform promising ideas into meaningful outcomes.

Cody McDonald PhD, MPH, CPO

Cody is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington (UW). Dr. McDonald received her orthotic and prosthetic education, a master’s degree in Global Health and a Doctoral degree in Rehabilitation Science all from the University of Washington. She completed orthotics and prosthetics residencies at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. McDonald currently teaches Evidence-based Practice in the UW Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics program and conducts research. Her research interests are grounded in her desire to advance social justice and equity in orthotic and prosthetic clinical access, care, and outcomes. She also currently serves as the Vice Chair of the US Chapter of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics. Dr. McDonald is a member of the Academy’s Collaborative on Inclusive Action and Engagement and the So Every BODY Can Move Medical and Research Advisory Committee.

Education Committee

The Education Committee champions the success of students, residents, and lifelong learners by expanding access to high-quality educational opportunities. From scholarships to career development initiatives, the committee equips future leaders with the knowledge, confidence, and support needed to deliver exceptional care. Their work ensures that those entering the field are not only well-trained but also inspired to carry forward the profession’s highest standards.

Duffy Felmlee CPO, FAAOP(D)

Duffy received his Masters of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Hartford in 2010 and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists with Distinction in 2023. Duffy is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Kinesiology at the University of Connecticut. At the University of Hartford, Duffy serves as an orthotic and research instructor, Director of the Adult Balance Lab, Technical Director of the MSPO Lab, Associate Program Director, Chair of the Rehabilitation Sciences Department, and Chair of the Institutional Review Board. Duffy is deeply involved with global non-profits, having served on teams for Dreaming and Working Together in Peru and the LimbKind Foundation internationally. He also brings leadership experience from the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, including the Board of Directors, Fabrication Sciences Society, Outcome Research Committee, Online Education Committee, and OPiQ Advisory Board. The Academy recognized Duffy as Educator of the Year in 2020. Duffy has served on the O&P Foundation Board for two years and has been involved with the Education committee in various roles, culminating in the Chair position in 2024-2026.

Professional Awards Committee

The Professional Awards Committee is dedicated to uplifting professionals at every stage of their careers by fostering opportunities for growth, innovation, and leadership. Through thoughtfully designed awards and support programs, the committee helps clinicians, researchers, and educators expand their influence, share their expertise, and advance the O&P profession. Their mission goes beyond recognition—it’s about equipping professionals to thrive and inspire the next generation of leaders in orthotics and prosthetics.

Jessica Norrell CPO, MBA

Jessica is the owner of MOZN Solutions. With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, Jessica partners with O&P practices to help them strategically improve their businesses. As a certified prosthetist/orthotist AND a business strategist, Jessica is uniquely qualified to help O&P practices eliminate inefficiencies and operate at their best.

Fundraising Committee

The Fundraising Committee is the engine behind our mission’s sustainability—building powerful connections, crafting compelling campaigns, and igniting donor enthusiasm. Through creative and strategic development efforts, they raise the critical funding that brings research, education, and professional programs to life.

Lily Komraus MS

Lily is the Director of Partner Professional Education for Hanger, Inc, where she leads a team of passionate educational professionals in the development and dissemination of evidence-based education to healthcare partners around the world. Lily and her team work closely in collaboration with Hanger’s Clinical & Scientific Affairs team developing programs aimed at improving patient care.

Finance Committee

Anchoring The O&P Foundation’s financial integrity, the Finance Committee guides responsible stewardship of resources and investments. Their diligent oversight ensures that every dollar supports maximum impact—from empowering researchers to advancing clinical innovation across the OP&P field.

James Kingsley MBA

Jim has spent the last 13 years in the O&P industry working as a Regional Vice President at Hanger and prior to that as Chief Operating Officer for Scheck & Siress. Over his career, he has served in accounting, sales & marketing, business development, mergers and acquisitions, operations and general management roles. He has worked in start-ups and turnaround companies as well as Fortune 500 companies such as AT&T and Emerson Electric. He is currently a member of the AOPA Board of Directors. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management.

Executive Committee

Empowering mission-driven leadership between board meetings, the Executive Committee ensures The O&P Foundation stays agile, effective, and steadfast in advancing orthotics and prosthetics excellence. Acting as the organization’s strategic backbone, they champion continuity, steer day-to-day governance, and accelerate forward momentum in transformative education, research, and award programs.

Mark Geil PhD

Mark is a Professor of Biomechanics and Prosthetics & Orthotics at Kennesaw State University. He also has faculty appointments at Georgia Tech and Georgia State University. Dr. Geil received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Ohio State University. He helped create the world’s first entry-level MS degree program in Prosthetics and Orthotics while at Georgia Tech, which was recently transferred to Kennesaw State. Dr. Geil is a Fulbright Senior Specialist awardee, winner of the Thranhardt and Research Awards from the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, Honorary Member of the Academy, and member of the Editorial Board of the JPO

Board Development Committee

Shaping leadership for tomorrow, the Board Development Committee scouts and nurtures the future stewards of The O&P Foundation. They build a slate of talented, values‑driven board candidates, and craft onboarding experiences that equip new leaders with clarity, vision, and collective purpose.

Christopher Fairman CPO

Chris is the co-founder of Great Lakes Prosthetics & Orthotics in Ann Arbor, Michigan. While managing his clinical practice, he mentored dozens of residents and students from nearby Eastern Michigan University. Chris previously sat on the board of directors for the American Board for Certification in Prosthetics, Orthotics and Pedorthics, serving as ABC’s President in 2016. He continues to volunteer as an examiner for the ABC Prosthetic and Orthotic clinical practical exams. Chris is currently the Treasurer of his state board, the Michigan Orthotic and Prosthetic Association.
