Her research integrates clinical biomechanics, preference, prescription, and communication to better understand the relationship between prosthetists and their patients to improve prosthetist satisfaction, patient outcomes, and clinic efficiency.
Why did you apply?
I applied for the Doctoral Training Award to help cover my ABC, Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist annual fees and to support my attendance to the 2025 American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium, as my PhD stipend is very limited.
How did the funding help you meet your goals?
It allowed me to fund myself to attend the 2025 AAOP national conference so that I could present my dissertation research!
What did the funding mean to you personally?
I was grateful for the professional support and excited to present my dissertation research while networking with professionals in the prosthetics and orthotics field.
