Chad Duncan is the founding director of the Orthotics & Prosthetics (O&P) program at Salus University, appointed in September 2021 to launch the University’s newly established program and prepare its inaugural cohort for Fall 2022. Before Salus, he served as director of Northwestern University’s Prosthetics & Orthotics (P&O) program in Chicago.

Dr. Duncan earned a B.S. in Rehabilitation Services from Auburn University (1995), completed Northwestern’s certificate training in P&O, and practiced clinically for seven years after beginning in the field as a technician. He returned to Auburn for graduate study, earning an M.S. in 2006 and a Ph.D. in 2008 in rehabilitation. His academic career includes faculty service at the University of Maine at Farmington and founding leadership in starting a graduate P&O program at Alabama State University, prior to joining Northwestern in 2016.

Dr. Duncan is an ABC certified and licensed prosthetist-orthotist in Alabama. His career spans clinical practice, program building, and academic leadership dedicated to advancing education and patient care in O&P.
