Jill Seale, PT, PhD has been a physical therapist for 29 years. Her area of clinical expertise is neuro rehabilitation, specifically brain injury and stroke recovery. She received a specialist certification in neurological physical therapy in 2004, and is now a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist Emeritus. She is also a graduate of the APTA Fellowship in Higher Education Leadership Program.
Dr. Seale is the Program Director and an Associate Professor in the DPT Program at South College Knoxville where she teaches in the areas of neuroscience and neuromuscular practice. She teaches continuing education courses for rehabilitation professionals in the areas of motor learning/motor control, stroke rehabilitation, and gait/orthotics. Dr. Seale has conducted research and been published in the areas of orthotic management of gait and balance, recovery of gait following stroke, the utilization of pro bono practice in health professions education and understanding success in DPT education.
