Karl Lindborg CPO

Karl J. Lindborg, CPO, is a prosthetics and orthotics professional with 40+ years across private practice, the VA, and manufacturing. Starting as a technician and later Branch Manager/Lead Practitioner at Advanced Bio-Mechanics, he went on to launch and lead the VA Prosthetics & Orthotics Lab in Mather, CA. He then spent a decade with Touch Bionics (now Össur) as Senior Clinical Practice Consultant, advancing upper-limb technology and training clinicians worldwide. Today Karl consults with Intersect O&P Solutions, teaches at national meetings, and advises practices on coding, reimbursement, and clinical workflow. His technical expertise spans custom upper and lower-limb prosthetics, myoelectric and body-powered systems, partial-hand solutions, and CAD/CAM design. He has served on the COPA Board, the Region D DMAC “A” Team, and the O&P Edge Editorial Advisory Board. Karl holds a B.S. in Orthotics & Prosthetics from the University of Washington, is a certified CPO (1996), and a licensed prosthetist in Washington State.
