Susan Kapp is prosthetist-orthotist and faculty in the University of Washington’s Department of Rehabilitation Medicine Prosthetic-Orthotic Program. Ms. Kapp’s clinical interests include digital prosthetic design, vacuum suspension and osseointegration. Ms. Kapp teaches transtibial and transfemoral prosthetics with a special interest in collaborative learning and teaching strategies. In addition to teaching, she has spent many years providing patient care and mentoring residents.
Ms. Kapp is a past-president of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists and is a member of the International Standards Organization (ISO) Medical Aspects, Nomenclature and Classification Committee for Prosthetics and Orthotics. Her past service includes board positions with the Texas Chapter of the Academy, National Commission on Prosthetic & Orthotic Education, the US National Member Society of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) and the National Association of Prosthetic and Orthotic Educators.
